Engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) demonstrates your commitment to keeping your skills current and in line with the highest standard of contemporary practice.

CPD evidence is not a requirement for your assessment for registration in Victoria. However it is highly encouraged that engineers engage in CPD.
By seeking engineer registration, you are voluntarily stepping onto a path of continuous improvement and lifelong learning. Registered Engineers recognise that excellence is not a destination; it's a journey.

When will CPD be a requirement in Victoria?

It is a requirement for renewal/ongoing registration.

Once you are registered in Victoria, your registration will expire three years from the date it was granted by the BLA.

To be eligible to renew your registration, you must have completed Continuing Professional Development (CPD) during the past three years.
